ew this year, the FSAE Foundation’s Silent
Auction Committee has come up with a fun,
interactive, and unique game that will take
place during the Silent Auction at the 2010 FSAE
Annual Conference. The game
is called “Ring of Wine” and is much like a
carnival game of “ring the bottle and win a
prize,” except these bottles are more fun and
you can win them. There will be several
different wines ranging in type, quality,
quantity and cost. When you ring the bottle of
wine, you take it home with you! There are a
few rules and stipulations, but once you start
tossing those rings you won’t be able to stop.
And best of all, when you toss the rings, you
are helping to raise dollars to support FSAE
Foundation programs!
Here is how the game is played:
1.
Purchase Small Tickets
from the ticket booth in the Silent Auction
room. The cost: $1 for 1 ticket, $5 for 6
tickets, $10 for 15 tickets and $20 for 30
tickets. The small tickets can also be used for
the small ticket drawings in the Silent Auction
room.
2.
Use your small tickets to purchase rings.
Each Small Ticket you purchase is worth one ring
toss. You can either toss up to 3 or 5 rings
per turn (one ring per ticket).
3.
There will be different tiers of wines.
The expensive and much sought after wines will
be more difficult to ring. The less expensive
wines will be closer to the front and perhaps a
little easier to ring.
That’s it! It’s very simple and everyone over
21 can play. It’s going to be a really fun way
to get those special bottles of wine you have
always wanted to try or finish your holiday
shopping early with a few different wines!
This game provides a way for all our members to
get involved in the Silent Auction and
fundraising for the FSAE Foundation. We
appreciate any and all donations of wine or cash
from FSAE Members. Donors will be recognized in
several ways: on a sign at the event, create a
special custom label for your bottle (click
here to download the template label), and on
the FSAE Silent Auction Website,
www.fsaeauction.com. Bring your
bottles – small and large, few and many – to the
FSAE Office and the FSAE Staff will take them to
the conference or you can bring them with you
and drop them off at the Silent Auction room
when you arrive.
